Question Ourselves
The shameless incident of a serial and documented rape took place in Surat poised many questions to ourselves:
Are we as People ready to take bold and consistent actions?
The first and foremost question is of rapist who are wild animals disguised in the names of civilized persons. Wearing costumes one cannot be a man. The
people should make out such wild animals. The girl and her family have already initiated the process boldly. Now it’s people’s duty to support them not till the end of this case only but till the eradication of such elements also from the society. We as people should be bold enough to raise our voice that compels such elements to think hundred times exploiting power and situations.How do our Administrators function?
Now it’s time for the Administrators in the relevant departments to act promptly, honestly and sincerely in the interest of safety of the female and people at large as the culprits are involved in such activities since long. The administrators may have to face many problems to work honestly. But, they have to learn to stand against the malice and corrupt elements who misuse power and influence.
What about Judiciary?
The matter is in the court now. We hope that the court take the stringent actions against the rapist to set an example in the society. It was a cold blooded serial rape. How can we allow tigers habituated of sucking blood often and on roaming with evil intentions in the society?
Is this really Education?
It’s time to think about our education system that is completely dependent on the alternative commercial tuition system. All are involved in the rat race of getting more and more marks or percentages waiting to be called ‘Star’ or ‘Parents of the Star’ running hear and there to get admissions and jobs. It’s irony that no skills of learning are developed even after the drudgery of so many of hours, days and years. What type of system we have developed? The education system needs drastic changes as early as possible.
Is ours a Developing Society?
As a society we are called developing. But what kind of development we are talking of? We have many things- industry, communication technology, entertainment, commerce etc. But where is happiness? Where is peace? Where are the developments of civic sense, values, ethics …? What is the structure of our society as a whole? Do we find any balance among its poles? Where are we heading? Have we ever thought for its consequences?
